Twitter Fest Friday

by smallbizbee · 4 comments

Like most of us I've been thinking about our economy and how it is affecting small business, and how it affects us individually. For this week's Twitter Fest Friday question, I thought I would see how we were feeling about the "tough times" and take the temperature of the Twitter community regarding the unique situations we are all in. It was nice to see the mood wasn't what I would call dire, there is just a consciousness of what needs to be done to be prudent with our business and ourselves.

Questions: How has the economy affected your business, or your plans to start a business? And how has the poor economy affected your daily life?

Harder to get business–have to sell smart.

@Alma Gray
Great thing is when the economy improves you’ll still be using your smart selling techniques!

Thanks for coming by,

As business owners, we are not the norm in today’s society.. therefore, we don’t think in terms of how the “norm” thinks. When it comes to today’s economy.. we business owners think in terms of this being an exciting opportunity to live up to the challenge of who we are and find creative ways to succeed in this market. I want to hear how you savvy business owners are not participating in the naysayers’ message of gloom and doom out there and share stories of how to go out there and get’em.. ROAR!!! WE WILL NOT BE DENIED

I had not known that twitter could be used in this type of communication. It is almost like a chat room with the people that you would want to interact with, as opposed to a generic chat room where very little of value is present. Social networks can be pleasantly surprising when quality individuals are involved.
