The following post was submitted courtesy of George @ Tumblemoose. Not only was George busy capturing second place in our first Win $100 competition, but he had time to send a guest post our way to boot (he'll be kicking himself if this post gets more than our winner Yan did in the competition).

The following 41 quotes are not only awesome, they truly are timeless and a good reminder of the kind of character and fortitude it takes to be successful in business and life.  Enjoy.

Great list. Here’s a few of mine. Sorry if some overlap a bit, it was a hell of a list!

A leader

- earns respect, not demand it

- energises and excites people

- is prepared to admit when he is wrong

- recognises the boundaries of his own capabilities

- defaults to saying “we”, not “I”

- deflects praise onto his team

- is not afraid to ask for help

- makes sacrifices without hesitation

- takes humour seriously

WOW, this list is superb and motivational. My fave goes, “Leadership is about serving, not deserving.”

Please George don’t kick yourself as I’m sure you’ll do better this time. You’ve earned my respect.

My bad, I saw the ads on your sidebar “Competing for your attention”

Well, it’s a charity organization for the under-privileged kids

Make a difference in someone else’s life. Sponsor a child if you can.

Cheers

Yan, thanks for the information. Kind of goes along with my Thanksgiving post, those of us who have should feel fortunate and help those who don’t have. I’ll check it out.

You bet it is, that article is awesome. We should give back what we take from the society.

Hey, I’m working on a project to benefit World Vision. I’ll keep you informed, Matt.
