We asked, you answered, and we’re listening.  A few weeks ago we asked you all to chime in and help us make Smallbizbee.com even better next year, and we take your answers seriously!

Here are the results to our recent poll:

What Are We Doing With This?

Your feedback is invaluable to us when it comes to creating content that you want to see. We’re here to write articles that help you, not articles we “think” will help you.

As a direct result of your feedback we have already:

Summary

We’re committed to making Smallbizbee.com a number one resource on the Internet for entrepreneurs and small business. We sincerely thank you all for your feedback, and your continued readership.  We have yet to close the poll, so if you want your voice heard please feel free to vote,  and we will take your answers into consideration as we plan out 2009 and beyond.

Too bad I missed the poll out but here’s my vote. I would love to read posts on social media!

@Ben Pei
Social media will still be a big piece of what we write about around here…I’m like you and believe it really is the next big thing, and it will open up avenues to small business owner’s that you couldn’t dream of 2-3 years ago.

Thanks for coming by,
Matt

hi Matt,
Being relatively new here I missed your poll, but if you don’t mind I’ll toss in my two cents.
Cent One: I always enjoy reading blogging success stories of “how I did such and such” that give concrete examples as opposed to saying “you should do such and such” with no proof that such and such works.
Cent Two: I get a popup on every page load here asking me to subscribe. Maybe once is enough?

@Trade Show Guru
Thanks for chiming in. I too like success stories, which is why we will be regularly featuring entrepreneurs doing cool things. You learn by people who are doing.

As for the pop up…that light box is set to show up on your first visit to the site, not every page load, etc. It should be tracking that you’ve seen it once, then not bothering you again. I’m going to troubleshoot it this evening.

Two questions:
1) What browser are you using?
2) Did you sign up? =)

Honestly I’m looking into that, not my intention with the lightbox at all. Thanks for coming by, I appreciate you checking us out.

hi Matt,
I’m stopping by again per your email. I’m not seeing the popup at all. I started with cookies disabled (no popup) and then allowed your site to set cookies, but still no popup. I’m guessing you must have decided to leave it disabled?
