Plaza Cleaners in Portland, OR had this sign up in their window recently.
I’m calling this a "Random Act of Recessionary Kindness", and it’s nice to see people working together to get through the tough times. Not only that, but what cleaner do you think the people who take them up on this offer will use once they get jobs?
Have you seen any Random Acts? Let me know about them in the comments below, or better yet send us a picture.

Wow, that really warms my heart. One charity I love to support is Dress For Success. They supply women with suits for job interviews and an outfit or two for when they get the job. The Church where my son goes to preschool houses the Dress for Success in my city and it’s nice to see the women come out with a huge smile on their face.
There really are a lot of great people in the world.
I blog about a good deed/random act of kindness that I do everyday on my website, 365DaysofGoodness.com. My hope is to inspire others to do them as well! Small things, big things, and everything inbetween…every little bit can make a difference in someone else’s life! Check it out at http://www.365DaysofGoodness.com
Thanks!
Matt,
This is a small thing, yet a large thing. It helps restore a little faith in people, and sometimes the smallest ripple in an ocean can turn into large breakers on the shore.
Thanks for sharing this with us, buddy. Good stuff.

That’s a great organization, and just the help some people need. It’s amazing how a nice outfit can give people confidence in themselves, and help get back on their feet. It’s a small thing, but has the ability to be life changing.

Overall I think life is a bunch of small things…then they all add up to big things. So with something like this, getting just a little help with one of the small things helps make sure they don’t keep compounding into big things. I think people somtimes don’t get involved, and help out becuase they feel like all they can offer is something “little”, but it all adds up!

Alright, this is very cool. I can appreciate it.
