How to use Twitter for business is the #1 question I receive. At last count I had 642,379 questions this week on the subject, and it's only Monday!
Luckily I found a super presentation that walks you through how to use Twitter for your business, and gives you 20 simple examples of how you can incorporate Twitter into your marketing and promotion today!
This saved me a lot of time answering emails, and surely spared me carpel tunnel syndrome from emailing you all back!
20 Ways to Tweet for Your Business
The following presentation is packed with 20 easy ways you can tweet for your business. Here's a couple examples, then be sure to click on through the presentation for the entire 20 tips.
1. Highlight What’s Special
Twitter gives you a great platform to share what’s special about your company in 140 characters. But like using a highlighter in a book, only highlight the important things. Otherwise, your followers won’t be able to read anything because there are too many colors.
2. Ask Questions
One of the biggest benefits Twitter can deliver to a business revolves around branding. If your tweets create anticipation, that will brand your company with a consumer in a very effective way. Just make sure you’re actually creating anticipation, and not just tweeting to tweet.
3.Please, oh please share Twitpics
Twitpics are an incredible opportunity to showcase why you’re company is cool. Plus, the twitpic links are the most opened links on Twitter.
For the other 17 tips, check out the rest of the presentation below:

Tweet-worthy post, Matt. For all of the folks that gripe about Twitter and profess to not understanding it, I know it is great for my business. Like any other tool, you need to know how to use it properly. Keep it sharp, use the right tool for the right job and put it to bed nicely after you use it.

Good slideshow. I’ll try these ways to twitter for business site. Thanks for sharing good information.
I use Twitter for business daily. I twit the articles written by members of Positive Real Estate Professionals on a daily basis. The feedback from the members regarding the comments on their posts and potential leads/referral sources attributed to the use of Twitter has been very positive. Twitter is like having a megaphone and a willing audience.
This will go viral within my office very shortly.
.
You can almost say that you single handedly convinced most agents in our office to consider using twitter
Real Estate is still an old school game BUT there is a lot of “new money” anticipated to hit the markets. New money brings new generations which in turn brings a new school game. The name of the game is “ARE YOU SOCIAL ENOUGH?” (in my humble opinion).
Solid and current, great article Matt.

Awesome! Glad this helped, I think in your profession you will really see the benefit of Twitter. Would love to hear more about how you are using it, if you’re so inclined to share =)

Thank you for this post. It is interesting how much we ignore while tweeting, thus missing the benefits of Twitter. Thank you for giving me 20 ways to improve my business through Twitter.
Thanks for this. I think I am doing much of it but it’s nice to be reassured and also to realise I need to use a proper structure to the way I use Twitter.
I have only just found you (thanks to some one I know tweting you) and I intend to carry on reading all your useful posts. Please keep them coming
